Haptic Forge · HobbySoft OÜ · Last updated October 05, 2026

Summary

This Privacy Policy explains how HobbySoft OÜ ("Company," "we," "us," "our") handles information when you use the mobile application Haptic Forge (the "App"), a tool for visually designing haptic feedback patterns, and any related services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").

In short:

  • We do not require you to create an account or log in.
  • We do not collect, store, or have access to the haptic designs or other content you create in the App.
  • We do not operate any servers. Your content is stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud account.
  • We use a third-party crash reporting service (Sentry) to receive technical diagnostic data when the App crashes or encounters an error.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for targeted advertising.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at contact@hobbysoft.pro.

1. Who We Are

The controller responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy is HobbySoft OÜ, a company registered in Estonia at Katusepapi tn, 6, Tallinn, Harju maakond 11412, Estonia. Our VAT number is 16203461.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Terms and Conditions. Where this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions overlap, this Privacy Policy governs how we handle information.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The App is designed to work without collecting personal information. In particular, we do not collect:

  • your name, email address, phone number, or postal address;
  • account credentials of any kind, as the App does not have user accounts;
  • the haptic designs, projects, presets, or any other content you create in the App;
  • your precise or approximate location;
  • your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data; or
  • payment or billing information.

3. Information Processed by Third Parties

3.1. iCloud synchronization

If you are signed in to iCloud on your device and iCloud is enabled for the App, your App content is synchronized across your devices through Apple's iCloud service. This content is stored in your private iCloud storage, which is operated by Apple Inc. We do not have access to it, we cannot read it, and it is never sent to us. You can disable iCloud synchronization for the App at any time in your device's iCloud settings. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

3.2. App Store purchases

The App is sold through the Apple App Store for a one-time fixed price. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paywalls. All payments are processed by Apple, and we do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID. Apple provides us only with aggregated, non-identifying sales reports.

3.3. App Store analytics

If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated usage and crash statistics about the App. This information is aggregated by Apple and does not identify you. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Privacy settings.

3.4. Crash and error reporting (Sentry)

We use Sentry, a service provided by Functional Software, Inc., to detect and diagnose crashes and errors in the App. When the App crashes or encounters an error, the following technical information may be sent to Sentry:

  • the error or crash details, including stack traces and related technical logs;
  • the App version and build number;
  • device model, operating system version, language, and region settings;
  • technical device state at the time of the error, such as available memory, storage, and battery level; and
  • the date and time of the event.

Crash reports do not include your name, email address, or the content you create in the App. As with any internet connection, Sentry may receive your device's IP address when the report is transmitted. We use this information solely to identify, investigate, and fix bugs and to improve the stability of the App. Sentry's handling of data is described in its privacy policy, available at https://sentry.io/privacy/.

3.5. Analytics (Firebase)

We do not currently use any analytics service in the App. We may in the future use Google Analytics for Firebase, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand in aggregate how features of the App are used. If we do, it may collect information such as App interactions, session duration, device model, operating system version, App version, approximate country, and a randomly generated App instance identifier. It will not be used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Before introducing such a service, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by applicable law, ask for your consent. Google's handling of Firebase data is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

4. How and Why We Use Information

We use the limited technical information described above only to:

  • detect, diagnose, and fix crashes, errors, and other technical problems;
  • maintain and improve the stability, performance, and features of the App; and
  • respond to you if you contact us for support.

If you contact us by email, we will use your email address and the content of your message only to respond to your request.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws:

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): to process crash and error reports so that we can keep the App stable, secure, and working properly. We have assessed that this interest is not overridden by your rights, as the data is technical and limited to what is needed to fix problems.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): for any analytics we may introduce in the future, where consent is required by applicable law. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests or steps prior to a contract: to respond to messages you send us.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

Technical information is processed only by the service providers described in Section 3, who act on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or where necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

7. International Data Transfers

The App is available worldwide. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. Where personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland is transferred to a country that does not provide an adequate level of data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Data Retention

We do not store any of your data on our own systems, as we do not operate servers.

Crash and error reports are retained by Sentry for a limited period, typically no longer than 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for our ordinary business records.

Content synchronized through iCloud remains in your iCloud account until you delete it. You can delete it at any time by deleting the App's data from your iCloud storage in your device settings.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction or deletion of your personal information;
  • object to or request restriction of processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • request a copy of your personal information in a portable format; and
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Because we do not have accounts and crash reports are not linked to your identity, we may not be able to identify information relating to you. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@hobbysoft.pro and we will do our best to help.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), at https://www.aki.ee, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

10. United States Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar laws, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. To make a request, please contact us at contact@hobbysoft.pro.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Data sent to our crash reporting provider is encrypted in transit. Content synchronized through iCloud is protected by Apple's security measures. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Do Not Track Signals

The App does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies and does not use your information for advertising. Because the App does not engage in such tracking, it does not respond to Do-Not-Track signals.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new service provider or feature. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last updated" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App or by other reasonable means. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly.
